|Old Adobe is a small school with a big heart. Families and staff work
closely together to create a special place to learn and grow. Old Adobe
truly is a place where, "everyone knows your name". As part of creating a
great school we have infused our curriculum with the visual and
performing arts and as a result the students are involved in learning
that is exceeding everyone's expectations.
We became Old Adobe Elementary Charter School last year. Being a charter school brings funding to maintain district programs, such as libraries, and provides our school with the ability to offer such things as artists in residence, upgraded classroom technology, an edible garden, supplies for the arts, professional development for staff, and for involving our entire school community in our school.
Our district also passed a bond this year that will improve our cafeteria and stage as well as improving traffic and parking at the school. It is an exciting time at Old Adobe and we invite you to come and see our little school.
Old Adobe School became a conversion charter school last year. We are still very much a part of the Old Adobe Union School District and because we are a charter school we are able to provide some professional development for our teachers, art-based experiences for all of our students, and workshops for our parents. You can read our charter application here. Click here to learn more.
: The construction for the new stage is going as
scheduled. They are pouring concrete today and will
continue on Monday. They are aiming for winter break, or shortly after, to have our new stage complete.
You are welcome to call the school office and see what all the excitement is about. The parents who come and see what is happening at Old Adobe are very impressed at the learning our students are involved in. We look forward to seeing you.
The Maintaining Excellence Campaign has enabled us to continue to offer great programs and experiences for our children. You can click below to donate to this campaign that helps to fund such things as library, P.E. and art.
Thank you to the many generous families supporting our campaign!
